Our Story Began…
Five years ago my husband Josh and I began envisioning a boarding facility that would bring a traditional home environment and training facility together in one place. After 13 years of classroom, in-home training and board and train experience, I feel I have found my hybrid ideal. We bought a home with a 1000sq ft attached apartment just begging to be repurposed! Our 10 acre property has become a small hobby farm. Our apartment kennel is an extension of our house and we want all our clients, two legged and four legged, to feel right at home.
Get ready to become part of the family!
What is The Rustic Dog Inn?
The Rustic Dog Inn is an intimate boutique kennel where we will board and train 8 to 10 dogs at a time. We want each dog to feel that they are getting individualized attention, whether they are here for overnight boarding or training.
Our kennel apartment is set up just like a home with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is also an upstairs bedroom loft that is used mostly for training situations. Each dog that stays with us can freely move about in the apartment when not outside playing. Unfortunately, we are unable to board aggressive or reactive dogs because of our free flow set up.
We have large and extra large crates set up inside the apartment for night time sleep and afternoon naps. We ask that your dog be familiar with sleeping and staying in a crate.
We are set up for group socializing in our outside areas, too. We have one very large fenced area for those dogs that are more social butterflies and a smaller play yard for those that want a slower play experience. During your dog’s stay they will also have the opportunity to explore along the walking path on our property. Depending on your dog’s level of training, it is offered on or off leash.
